Sleeping in Bahariya oasis

Usually made in one day, the tour to the Bahariya oasis was divided by two because we arrived there at 1pm. The valley is surrounded by mountains and has numerous springs. The tour was included in the package I booked with Mostafa guide, a nice guy, who has super fair prices and organizes all your logistics in Egypt. He has a facebook page and we partnered so that If you visit Egypt look for him and tell was Franz Explorer reference.

The first day we visited a pool of hot springs, did sandboarding in the dunes and we slept in the desert. The first stop on arrival at the Oasis was their home for lunch and an Egyptian mint tea. After lunch we took a 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser and headed to the first stop, the thermal waters.

The driver allowed us to stay in the top of the vehicle for 15 minutes. It was really fun despite some adrenaline caused by violent movements that almost trowed me away.

At the dunes, the guide gave us a board and a bar of soap used in substitution of paraffin.

Meanwhile we were having fun, the driver started to set up the camp and prepare the food. Later local people came to enjoy the food. The menu was rice, vegetables and a chicken casserole. We ate a lot and left almost half left!
