The traditional Patisserie & Cafe Galata Konak is an excellent viewpoint in Istanbul and also a pleasant place to have coffee or Moroccan tea. I went with Onur, a Turk friend I met in Belgrade, Christian, an American, and with Pedro Dias, my traveling companion.
We took a lift to the top of the building and ordered four moroccan coffees. It is important to drink sparkling water before drinking coffee to clean the mouth. The Moroccan coffee is strong and should not be drunk till the end because it is pure powder.
We spent half an hour chatting and got the bill that wasn’t cheap but came in a lovely box.
The view from the city was pretty awesome
