We reached Hampi by 5 AM after a night trip in a sleeping bus that started in Goa at 8 PM from the day before.
The most famous place to stay in Hampi is The Goan Corner, where the backpackers and climbers stay. We arrived, had breakfast in a small cafe and waited for the sunrise to cross the river.
Meanwhile i took some pictures with a local family that was waiting for the boat as well.
The ferry starts at 8:30 AM and the price to cross is 20 INR with the luggage. There was a gorgeous elephant having a bath in the river by the time we were there.
We crossed and walked to the hostel. I rented a small motorbike for 100 INR in the hostel with a Italian friend, Matteo.
With the bike we had a lot of flexibility t explore so we went to a temple half an hour down the road. We passed trough a few ruins and few minutes after we saw a big movement of people.
We reached one very interesting local temple where people were waiting for a big lunch. There was a colourful ceremony happening and a few guys were cooking the meal.
We walked further and climbed a few rocks to get to the highest point of view. After that I could understand why Hampi is also a climbing paradise.
