Among my exploratory activities around the world, experiencing local gastronomy is a very important subject. Not only does it challenge the palate, but also to observer different environments. In Prague I visited the restaurant V CIPU, which is in a small alley also called V Cipu. Right at the entrance I come across a tripadvisor recommendation board, a renowned travel tips website. The restaurant was packed, so along with a Brazilian friend I met on the trip, we sat at the last table available between two beer tanks. A curious question about the Czech Republic is that several restaurants have their own brewed beer and the country has several handmade brands. I asked for the menu and ordered a typical dish of the place, the STEAK MILÁNO, which basically is a chicken breast topped with ham and cheese watered with a meat sauce similar to a wood sauce. There were a few variations of the dish and I ordered one that also came with dried tomatoes and vegetables.
The chicken was tasty, but I found the sauce a bit salty. The attendants were very friendly and seemed more like a local family. If you are in Prague, it’s worth a stop at this spot, and try their meal.
