Beach in Tarifa

Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar was a joy for two reasons: first because I have always heard of this strait in geography classes in the college and secondly because I was leaving Africa and returning to Europe. Not that my 10 days in Morocco have not been a good experience, but that traveling in Africa is adventure and usually accompanied with a lot of challenges and surprise.. Europe is much more structured to receive tourists and it is possible to travel more peacefully.

The crossing on the boat that costs 1 euro per minute, that is, 40 minutes that cost me 40 euros, goes from the city of Tangier in the north of Morocco to the city of Tarifa in the south of Spain. I went with Pedro Dias who had accompanied me in Morocco.

Tarifa is a beach town that does not have so many tourist attractions, but for anyone who wants to relaxer which was my case, it was a full plate. I arrived at the most famous hostel in the small town, Melting Point and we came across a very sympathetic Moroccan at the front desk speaking: I know as well as what is on the other side, tourists arrive tired here. A refrigerator with plenty of beer and a novelty, marijuana beer. We took to try, not bad at all.

As it was late in the day, we were relaxing at the hostel and updating the photos. Next day program: beach! First, a reinforced lunch across the beach at a nice restaurant.

First time I saw a generalized topless and not only of the grandmothers as in Munich in the English Garden, but several young girls. People in Spain is very modern in relation to this theme. The water, cool but nice and a strong wind that characterizes the beach of Tarifa as an international point of Kitesurf. Nothing like missing a beach!
