Biggest termal water complex in Europe

The capital of Hungary is famous for the thermal waters and there are several places around the city where you can find them. I visited and spent an afternoon in the most famous and largest in Europe, the Széchenyi Gyógyfürdö, which is even the name of a subway station.

To get there, take the yellow metro line towards Mexicót út and get off in the penultimate station. When leaving the subway, go towards an old building of yellow color. The simplest entry cost 4100 forint that converted is about 15 USD. You entry ticket is a waterproof wristband. There are also additional services that you can ask for if you pay more, such as towel and locker rentals.

Upon entering you are amazed at the amount of people in the main pool. There is even a circle where people rotate as they are pushed by internal water jets, and it’s a lot of fun. But the best part is inside the building that has several small swimming pools and with varying temperatures ranging from 20 to 38 degrees.. In addition, the thermal water complex also has saunas.

If you enjoy relaxing in the hot springs, I recommend the visit.
