After doing a Bungee Jumping in Costa Rica I decided to do one in South Africa, because it was a really good deal for 480 ZAR, around 40 USD. If you want to use your own camera, you must pay extra 150 ZAR, around 10 USD. There is an inactive electric energy usine in Johannesburg, in the suburb of Soweto and nowadays is a place with activities such as kart and Bungee. After signing the terms and conditions and paying I went to prepare myself. I was very confident in the beginning, but after taking the lift 100 meters high I started to feel a bit nervous.
They put music on top so you can relax a bit. I attached my GoPro in the hand with a silver tape and they started to prepare me for the jump. After getting the rope attached and the safety checks I went to the jump base. They told me that they were not allowed to push the person, so they would will give me 3 chances to jump by myself. I was scared and after the 3,2,1 counting I jumped.
The tower has 100 meters and you have guaranteed a lot of adrenaline.
After quick 10 seconds I relaxed and waited until be completely on the floor to be detached.
After the jump I had a beer and the certificate. A must in Johannesburg!
