The city of Sarajevo lies within a complex of hills, so when you look around you can see the houses scattered by these geological accidents. In addition it is possible to see also several cemeteries, result of the War of Bosnia that occurred between 1992 to 1995 and it killed about 200 thousand people. I wanted to see the city from above so I noticed that there was a belvedere, where I went. On the way it was possible to see a huge Muslim cemetery, highlighted with its white headstones on the green grass. The lookout can be seen at the top of the photo on the left.
We climbed to the top of the hill and were surprised by a crowded bar with several chairs and a very beautiful landscape and we waited for a table to sit.
When we ordered a beer the waiter said he did not sell beer due to religion but had a home made natural tea which he recommended. Pedro tried the Herbal (of mint) and I tried the Limunana Malina (of red fruits)
We sat on the pleasant afternoon and had a natural tea watching the city from above, which still seemed to be in War due to the great smoke generated by the restaurants.
