I you are interested in Mozart history, in Salzburg (Asutria) you can visit the place where he was born and the house where he lived, Mozartswhonhaus.
You can buy a double ticket for 18 EUR or visit only one of the attractions for 10 EUR. I chose to visit only the house where he was born, Mozartsgeburtshaus, because is a big building.
Located in a busy avenue of the city where all posh shops are, this house is always full of tourists. You have a free wi-fi hotspot inside the museum.
The visit starts in the third floor where you can observe the kitchen and the living room with a few documents, frames and goods from the family. Pictures are not allowed in a few areas of the museum.
Heading to the second floor we can see a living room with the piano Mozart played when young and another that he played when he became older.
A frame with his hair is also available for observation.
Nearby you have a room where is possible to listen to old songs using a computer and headphones.
On the ground level we access one of the main room and a person is playing piano for a VIP group of tourists. This room is closed for visitation with a rope blocking the access and was also possible to see the room where Mozart lived.
Next door a map shows all travels that Mozart did, 17 in total, staying 10 years and 15 months away from his hometown, Salzburg.
In the same level, a restaurant called Hagenauerstuben, can also be visited.
The visit is very interesting and great for lovers of classical music and admirers of the figure who was Mozart. On the ground floor there is sourvenir shop and also outside the house a market that sells Mozart’s famous chocolates.
I bought some chocolates and enjoyed eating the day I left the city, waiting for my BlaBlaCar to go to Budapest.
Uma delícia!
